A strategic partnership for healthy, sustainable livestock farming

We are delighted to announce the imminent signing of a strategic partnership agreement with VITALAC BIOTECH, a major player in animal nutrition and health safety in the animal feed industry. This partnership marks a turning point in our shared ambition to support players in the animal feed sector with solutions that are both innovative and responsible, tailored to the challenges of today and tomorrow.

Who isVITALAC BIOTECH ?

VITALAC, a privately-owned, independent Breton company founded in 1989, designs, manufactures and distributes a wide range of livestock products: mineral feeds, premixes and nutritional specialities for pigs, ruminants and poultry. VITALAC is present in over 60 countries, and its production site is based in Finistère, France.

VITALAC BIOTECH, a subsidiary of VITALAC, was created to meet the current challenges of ensuring the safety of animal feed.

In addition to auditing services, VITALAC BIOTECH offers the implementation of sanitary control plans and a whole range of solutions to prevent contamination of foodstuffs, such as acidifiers and barrier flora. VITALAC BIOTECH also offers solutions for decontaminating contaminated foodstuffs, such as the Salmotruck, a mobile decontamination unit that can process up to 100 tonnes of product per hour.

A collaboration born at the start of 2024

The collaboration began in early 2024. VITALAC first tested the solution in its production plant, then, convinced of the relevance of this rapid self-monitoring tool for the industry, VITALAC BIOTECH quickly wanted to enter into a partnership so that the solution could be offered to its customers. These initial discussions laid the foundations for a solid and meaningful collaboration.

This first step was followed by an official presentation of LoopiX at the SPACE show in Rennes, a key event for agricultural professionals. This landmark event symbolised the launch of this promising alliance, with its focus on innovation and performance.

Why a partnership with VITALAC BIOTECH ?

This partnership came about naturally, driven by shared values and complementary expertise. Together, we share a clear ambition: to guarantee the safety of animal feed and offer practical, innovative and sustainable solutions to our customers.

On the one hand, Loop Dee Science brings its expertise in innovative molecular biology technologies, and on the other, VITALAC BIOTECH contributes its HACCP expertise, customer proximity and in-depth knowledge of the sector’s needs. This alliance will enable us to offer solutions tailored to the challenges of health safety and sustainability in the agricultural sector.

VITALAC BIOTECH‘s main objective is to reduce the presence of pathogens such as Salmonella in animal feed.

The LoopiX solution plays a central role in this approach. This high-performance tool enables the rapid detection of pathogens such as Salmonella, thereby reinforcing the safety of animal feed, a crucial issue in the feed market. Thanks to this technology, together we are helping to provide additional guarantees and meet the essential needs of players in the sector.
